Makeda Declet is an LA-based playwright, producer and actress. She attended New York University where she received her BFA in theater, studying at The Experimental Theater Wing, ITW Amsterdam, and The Classical Studio. Her most recent plays include Sisters, Dem, Judith & The River Styx, Nothin’ Left to Lose, and HAMMER (developed with the MADlab, in association with Moving Arts Theater). 

Acting credits include recurring roles on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS) and Being Mary Jane (BET). As well as roles on Veep (HBO), Bosch (Amazon), How to Get Away with Murder (ABC), and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX). She is a member of SAG/AFTRA and AEA.
